The first smart phones had just been released. I was exploring how the patterns of body language communication were shifting as we adjusted to having social media content available at the tips of our fingers for the first time in history. I used the setting of cafes and coffee houses as a backdrop to show how the contrast of social behavior patterns had shifted with the introduction of smart phones.
